On 30 June 2025, the EaP RSO will host its inaugural regional road safety conference.
The conference will take deep dive into some of the key issues and challenges related to data and road safety policy from a regional perspective. This will include the use of standardised frameworks (CADaS and mini-CADaS) and interagency data sharing, visualisation, and presentation of data with a specific focus on the reporting of serious road traffic injury.
The theme builds on the EaP RSO’s engagement at the Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Marrakech, where we moderated the plenary session on Leveraging Data, and the ITF Ministerial Summit 2025, where we will be joining the panel on Harnessing Data and Statistics. We will draw on the theme of this year’s UN Global Road Safety Week, Safe Walking & Cycling to advocate for improved data collection and analysis on pedestrian and cyclist risk.
The conference is aimed at road safety stakeholders and professionals across all EaP member countries including relevant government representatives, local authorities, traffic police, researchers and academia, civil society, international organisations, media, and the private sector.
